The Waynesville Athletic Boosters would like to thank the students, parents, and the community who came out last night to see the Harlem Wizards take on the team made up of Waynesville staff and community leaders.
Fans experienced a magical display of tricks, ball handling, fancy passing and dunks combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction and participation. Special thanks go out to the players, coaches, and volunteers who helped to make the event possible. Huge thanks to sponsor Stone House Tavern. 

Wrestling Preparing for Sectionals

The varsity wrestling team prepares for sectional next weekend at Milton Union. The wrestlers returned from last weekend’s SWBL tournament where they had 4 wrestlers place. Kalob Tuck took 3rd Tytus Collins and Donald Moore took 4th and Travis Foster took 5th in their weight classes.

Waynesville Multi-Sport Facility Project:

The district is undertaking a fundraiser to upgrade our Football Field to a Multi-Sports facility. With the installation of sports turf many programs will benefit: The Soccer games would now be played on the turf at the current Football Stadium, the Band will be able to practice on a clean turf field with actual field lines, Baseball and Softball will have a place to practice during the wet periods.

Wrestling Strong Performance at Madeira

Returning from break the Spartans wrestled at Madeira winning 19 of 33 matches. Placing 5 wrestlers in route to a 6th place team finish amongst the field of 20 teams: 126 Kalob Tuck placed 3rd, 152 Chucky McClinchy 4th, 160 Tytus Collins 2nd, 182 Josh Martin 3rd, 195 Donald Moore 2nd.
This Saturday the varsity wrestling team heads to Greenon for a weight class pool tournament. Wrestling will take place starting at 10 am in the Indian Valley Middle School Gym.
