The Marvin Lewis Golf Classic

The Marvin Lewis Community Fund is an organization devoted to empowering, educating, and inspiring individuals in the Greater Cincinnati region. The Marvin Lewis Golf Classic (MLGC) helps fund all of our programs most notably the Marvin Lewis Scholarship Fund and the Learning Is Cool program.

The Marvin Lewis Golf Classic will take place on Sunday, May 17th at the Shaker Run Golf Club. We hope that your student-athletes can be a part of one of our largest events. Currently we are looking for high school students to be cart assistants/forecaddies for the outing.

Bryce Linkous Plays in Bob Ross Classic

Incoming senior Bryce Linkous represented Waynesville on the baseball field at Fifth Third Field in the Bob Ross Baseball Classic this past weekend. Over forty of the top baseball players represented north and south Dayton during this yearly baseball classic. Bryce earned the starting nod on the mound for his squad and struck out one in his only inning pitching. Offensively, Bryce was one for two with a single and stolen base. He played shortstop and third base throughout the all star game. Going into his senior year, Bryce has two single season baseball records for the Spartans.

Waynesville Tennis Team Takes Second in League

This past Tuesday May 6th the Boys Varsity tennis team traveled to Tom Cloud Park in Huber Heights for the League Tournament. The team fought hard for every win. Of note was a tough 3 set match pitting our number one singles David Jeffries against Preble Shawnee’s number one player. After losing the first set 6-2 Jeffries made a determined comeback winning the next two sets and winning a great match.
